Bead Making
July 14, 2025 @ 08:00 – 17:00
It is a material that can be shaped using freehand or mold-forming techniques and can later be embellished with various decorative methods. It forms the basic step of thousands of different processes where such working methods can be applied.
The most fundamental process in bead making is creating a smooth sphere. This is done by continuously rotating glass rods in a flame until a sufficiently sized molten ball forms, which is then wrapped around a steel rod that has been previously coated with a bead separator. In this one-day workshop, after learning how to create the basic shapes such as triangle, cube, cylinder, and flat forms, we will move on to adding dotting and line-pattern techniques to produce many different glass beads.
