  • Anne Peters•Poetics of glass

    In this idea based, experimental course we will explore a specific kiln forming, pate de verre process. Using a variety of mould-making materials (plaster, silica, wax, clay, fibre frax, alginate) this technique will allow us to transfer drawings, handwriting and textures from a mould onto glass. Starting with fusing flat glass sheets that carry our individual designs we will continue into three dimensions by manipulating the glass in the kiln during the firing as well as exploring various slumping methods.
