When technique and process are such an integral aspect of glass making, how do we create work that tells of our own stories and fascination with glass?

This Co-facilitated workshop lead by Peter Bowles and Jing Li will delve inwardly to who we are as artists and outwardly towards finding interesting, appropriate and practicable ways of working with hot glass. The workshop will equip students with both technique and ways of thinking and personal exploration that will help to create work that is inherently personal and creatively innovative as a way to finding our unique voices within contemporary glass.
This will be hands-on and open-minded exploration to develop skills and techniques that resonate with your own personal ambitions as a glassmaker and artist.
There will be an emphasis on colour application techniques, the theory and practice of effective and efficient form making and the inextricable relationship between these two fundamental and fascinating aspects of glassmaking.
