Harmony and Balance: “Glass Lives with Light”
3 -25 December 2022
AKM Gallery

The exhibition, organized on occasion of the Glass Furnace Foundation’s 20th year as well as the UN’s declaration of 2022 as International Year of Glass, serves a detailed presentation of the glass art. Works selected meticulously from the 2,300 plus collection
of the Glass Furnace Foundation, representing glass art from all around the world, will be displayed for visitors at the AKM Gallery space through 3-25 December 2022.
Glassblowing, flame-working, hot-sculpting, fusing, kiln-casting, bead-making and enameling are among the techniques used masterfully in the selection of works exhibited, demonstrating an extensive variety of this medium. Light, reflections and colors are highlighted in the show, accompanied by videos detailing the process of glass production. Besides their educational value, the works on display surpass the limits of form and techniques, taking glass art to unique fascinating levels. We welcome all art enthusiasts to come and visit.
