Gelpi is a full-time studio artist and has been working with glass since 1996. He has studied at many glass schools, including the Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, the studio at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, Glass Axis of Columbus, Planas Viau in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Scuola del Vetro Abate Zanetti in Murano, Italy. Anthony exhibits internationally and in many prominent galleries across the U.S. His designs are inspired by some of the oldest glass studios in the world, yet are presented with contemporary form and vision to create a convergence of purity and beauty in the modern shapes of the vessels he creates.
