One-Day Beginner Level Hot Glass Workshop: February 15 (Full Day)

In this workshop, you will embark on a unique experience by challenging gravity with molten glass throughout the day.

The program will cover:

1. Introduction to the hot glass studio, safety rules, holding the blowpipe and noble (ponti), studio movements, and exercises.
2. Learning how to take glass from the furnace, shaping the glass on the marver table, using jacks, neck trimming, shearing, and tweezers.
3. Mass form exercises, making a round mass with molten glass, making round 2 and 3-bulge masses with molten glass, and creating paperweights with colored paper inside (flower and twist).

After acquiring knowledge and skills up to this stage, you will move on to glass blowing. Once you have improved your mastery of glass, you will finish your work by blowing a sphere.
