One-Day Bead Workshop

Embark on a journey of bead making with one of the flame working techniques in this one-day workshop. Beads, versatile in their ability to be shaped by freehand or with molds, can be embellished with various decorative methods. These techniques are fundamental steps for thousands of different processes.

The most basic step in bead making is to create a smooth sphere. By continuously turning glass rods in the flame, a sufficiently sized bead is formed, which is then wrapped around a steel rod previously coated with bead separator. In this monthly workshop, after learning the creation of basic shapes such as triangle, cube, cylinder, and flat forms, you will add pattern techniques with dotting and lining to make various glass beads.

*Throughout the workshop, only transparent glass will be used, apart from the designs created during the workshop.*
