Monthly Kiln Casting Workshop Full Day  14 April

In this four-week workshop we have prepared for you, you will experience the beginner level of kiln casting technique with glass. We have designed a program below with details for you to get to know this magical material step by step and unleash your creativity.

Kiln Casting Workshop Program 

Week 1

10:00 – 16:00 Workshop Introduction, getting to know each other. Explanation of basic open kiln casting technique with examples. Showing the important points in clay model making kiln casting and explaining safety precautions. Starting the clay model.

Week 2

10:00 – 16:00 Starting the preparation of the clay model for molding, final touch-up stage. Preparation of mold walls. Plaster casting work. Cleaning and drying of the mold.

Week 3

10:00 – 16:00 Cleaning the mold and preparing the glass. Providing theoretical information about the furnace diagram and placing the glass in the mold. Providing theoretical information about furnace arrangement and firing. Firing the furnace.

Week 4

10:00 – 16:00 Opening the mold of the products from the furnace, preparing for finishing by cleaning and sanding.
