One-Day Bead Workshop: 18 March (Half Day)

Embark on the journey of flame working, one of the flame-based techniques, to learn the art of bead making. Beads, versatile in their ability to be shaped by freehand or with mold shaping techniques, can be further adorned with various decorative methods. This workshop serves as the foundation for thousands of different processes that can be applied.

The basic process of bead making involves creating a smooth sphere. By continuously rotating glass rods in the flame to melt them, a bead of sufficient size is formed by wrapping it around a steel rod previously coated with bead separator. In this one-day workshop, you will learn the creation of basic shapes such as triangles, cubes, cylinders, and flat shapes. You will then add dots and lines to create patterns, resulting in a variety of glass beads.

*In the last hour of the workshop, you can use the available jewelry fittings in the workshop to turn the beads you have made into the desired accessory.
