One-Day Beginner Level Hot Glass Workshop: 21 April (Full Day)

In this workshop, we will embark on a unique experience, challenging gravity with honey-like glass throughout the day, discovering how to move and shape it.

So where do we start? In this workshop, we will first get acquainted with the hot glass studio. Then, we will cover safety rules, how to hold the blowpipe and noble (ponti), workshop movements and exercises, how to take glass from the furnace, shaping the taken glass on the marver table, ladle usage, neck cutting, shears and tweezers usage, mass form exercises, making a round mass with full glass, making round 2 and 3-knob masses with full glass, making paperweight with color inside (flower and twist). With the knowledge and skills we acquire until this stage, we will move on to glass blowing. After improving our mastery of glass a bit, we will finish our work by blowing a sphere.

*Since the works done in this workshop will go through the annealing process, they will be sent later by cargo.
