Pattern and Form

This course will be in introduction to geometric patterns and also demonstrate breaking down a round bubble to create very complex forms. Students will observe daily demonstrations on how Dan creates cane and murrine patterns and also have time to practice these techniques to make their own pieces. Though we are going over advanced techniques, this is a class that every skill level will walk away with a better understanding of the material and very important pro moves to achieve more while working less.

Topics covered will include: roll ups, cane, murrine, incalmo, sculpture, merletto, switch axis, proper tool use, hotshop safety, and teamwork. Bring your sketchbooks, designs, and open minds. This is a class not to be missed!
